Fish Screen Oversight Committee
Training Conference

September 12th-15th, 2016
Ellensburg, Washington

The Fish Screen Oversight Committee (FSOC) invites you to Washington as the Fish Screen Oversight Committee convenes the 2016 Fish Screen Training Conference in Ellensburg, September 12-15, 2016. The 2016 conference, co-hosted by WDFW and NOAA, represents a return to Central Washington, a great area to view the different types of screens that are currently being used to protect fish in the Columbia River Basin. Ellensburg provides an outstanding location for technicians, engineers, and shop staff to learn about fish screen criteria, screen design and installation, screen testing and tuning, and maintenance.

The 2016 conference will focus on NOAA’s fish screen criteria, designs currently being developed and sold by various screen manufacturers, screen measurements and tuning, and maintenance that facilitate safe fish passage. The conference will be of interest to those that are, or will be, involved with projects for which screens will be designed and constructed, as well as monitored and maintained.

As with previous conferences, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a tour of various sites to view existing screens and discuss the designs and maintenance requirements.

Ellensburg is an ideal base for a personal or family vacation with many outdoor experiences within a short drive. We encourage everyone to enjoy Ellensburg before, during, and after the conference.
